Where
Do I Stand?
Leader: Pastor Dave
Meeting Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m., through November 16
Martin Luther, as he stood trial before the Pope and The Inquisition, after outlining his understanding of God’s call upon his heart and his belief in forgiveness and the liberating love of God in opposition to the teaching of the church said, “Here I stand; I can do no other. God help me. Amen!”
Many adults are hesitant to share their faith, in part because it has been a long time since Confirmation class and they are not sure they remember the teachings of the Bible or of the church. If you are not sure of your answer to the question, “What do you believe?” then this is the class for you. We will spend nine weeks renewing our understanding of what we as United Methodist Christians stand for. We will be using Dr. Kent Millard’s (St. Luke’s UMC, Indy) Get Acquainted with Your Christian Faith. The study book will cost $10; order yours now.
Next Steps, Financial
Freedom and Growth
Leader: Mike Larr
Meeting Thursdays at 7:00 p.m.
Finances! Budgets, plans, credit scores, IRA, investments... Who understands all of that stuff?! Mike Larr does. Mike is the Vice President and manager of the Huntington Bank here in town. He is also one of our Stephen Leaders. Mike is going to lead a next steps class in helping us to understand the financial tools available to us and how to use them to help us in our relationship with God, family and community.
