Worship! Praise! Singing! Great Food! All in one day at Ellis Park! We will worship at 10:00, eat at 11:30ish and then have more singing and a play!

 

Yes, it will be Pot Luck with meat and drinks provided! Dress is casual. Bring your favorite lawn chair, a dish of food to share, and your family and friends!

 

So plan now and we’ll see you in the PARK!

We are currently updating our prayer chain. People on the prayer chain receive prayer requests via phone or email and pray for the needs as they arise. If you would like to be part of the phone or email prayer chain, please contact the church office by September 26, or sign up on the attendance pad during worship services.

Pack the Pantry

Thank you for your continued support of the pantry. For the month of September, we would like to collect 160 cans of tuna. This will be enough tuna to last the pantry for one month. Thank you for your donations.

 

 

Haiti Mission Trip

The dates have finally been set for the trip! January 21-29, 2011!

If you would like to know more about possibly going on the trip, see Pastor Dave for details. While this is a Medical mission, nonmedical persons are also encouraged to go. There is lots of work for all who desire to serve Christ!

Recycling

   for

   Youth

   Funds

The youth continue to collect old cell phones and ink jet cartridges to recycle and raise funds for Student Ministry. Please place any donations in the box in the lobby. A paper recycling collection bin is located in the parking lot. You may drop off newspapers, magazines, junk mail, kid's school papers, etc. NO phone books, please.

 

Youth Ministry Recycling Fundraiser

The youth group has more fundraiser recycling to add to the cell phones. Besides cell phones and ink jet cartridges, they can now recycle DVD's with the case, laptops, MP3 players, video game consoles, digital cameras, GPS devices, digital picture frames and portable DVD players. Senior Prime Timers

Tour and Lunch at Fair Oaks Dairy Farm

Wednesday, September 8

Meet at DUMC parking lot at 10:00AM to carpool

The Senior Prime Timers from the A, B, C. and D cluster churches will tour one of the largest family-owned dairies in the country at Fair Oaks, Indiana. It is located off I-65 North/SR 14, Exit 220. We will tour the dairy farm, see the milking process, visit the cheese factory and have lunch in the Cafe. The cost for the tour is $7.00. Invite your friends and neighbors to join the fun and fellowship.  Call Mary Alice Cox  or Vicki Loughmiller by Tuesday, September 7 to RSVP.

At the church, Meet in Room U1

Looking for time to work on albums, get together with friends and have fun?

 

Everyone is welcome at Scrapbook Night workshops; you don't have to stay the whole time…“come when you can and leave when you need to.” Great way to get inspiration, share ideas and complete pages. Cost is a $5.00 donation with money going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Church.

 

 

ABCD Cluster Meeting

Sunday, September 12, 6:00PM

At Coatesville UMC

Members and friends from the ABCD Cluster (Amo, Belleville, Coatesville and Danville United Methodist churches) are invited. Gather at 6:00PM for light refreshments, followed by meeting, and concluding the evening with a Cake Walk. All are welcome to attend as we continue to form friendships with our neighboring United Methodist churches.

 

 

DUMC Presents

“An Evening of Music” with Becky Whitcomb…

7:00 p.m.

 

Members and friends of Danville United Methodist Church are invited to attend a free concert featuring performer Becky Whitcomb and pianist Natalia Rachford. Music will include works by Handel, Strauss, Bernstein, Rodgers and Hart, and several other entertaining pieces.

Handbell Choir Rehearsals begin September 12

The Handbell Choir will meet on Sunday, September 12 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in Room U1. Anyone (9th grade and up) interested in playing the handbells is invited to join the practice. Please see Deb Hornaday if you have questions.

 

Chancel Choir Rehearsals

Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m.
